The Library Management System has been developed on an ORACLE RDBMS engine as it’s backend and the sing Developer 2000. LMS is designed to run on Windows 95/98 clients, however the Server can be on any operating system i.e Windows NT, UNIX, AIX, Novell NetWare or LINUX. The system has been designed with ease of use in mind, with all users sharing the same interface, irrespective of their privileges and data source. This Library system is a solution for the whole library, complete with Circulations, Acquisitions, Cataloguing, Reporting and Search modules as standard.

The LMS has a common database in which all modules are integrated and function seamlessly with a friendly GUI interface. In a client server scenario back end database servers provide data storage and query facilities. The workstations or clients only need to run the front end application software.
